Recently featured in Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine, the utility room at Lion House demonstrates how bespoke joinery and intelligent planning can transform a purely functional room into a practical extension of the wider home.
Designed for a busy family of five, the brief centred around maximising functionality without compromising on aesthetics. Every detail was carefully considered to support everyday routines while maintaining the calm and refined atmosphere found throughout the property.
The room features bespoke pale blue cabinetry complemented by warm brass trims and hardware. A generous Arabescato marble worktop runs the length of the space, providing ample room for laundry tasks, household organisation and additional preparation space when needed.
Storage solutions were designed around real family life. Pull-out drying racks, slide-out timber shelves and deep drawers ensure every item has a dedicated place, helping to keep the room organised and clutter-free.
One of the standout features is a four-storey laundry chute that delivers washing directly into the utility room from the floors above. This practical addition streamlines daily routines and demonstrates how thoughtful design can make a meaningful difference to family life.
Dual washing machines and dryers are neatly integrated beneath the worktop, while pink Claybrook floor tiles subtly define the laundry zone, introducing personality and visual interest within the space.
The result is a utility room that feels every bit as considered as the kitchen itself. Combining bespoke craftsmanship, intelligent storage and premium materials, the project reflects Cor Domi’s approach to creating spaces that work beautifully for modern living.
